Inspired by a deep appreciation for the hand feels and spinning quality of bouclé yarn by a specific Indian producer , Mark Krebs designed this collection to highlight its exceptional quality . Through a simple extra thick weaving technique , these rugs are the cosiest in the collection and offer a soft , durable , and chunky grace .
STITCH RUG COLLECTION
Rediscover the Stitch Rug , inspired from old kilim rugs from various nomadic tribes throughout Persia and northern Africa , where looms needed to be compact enough to travel on horseback . Weavers then stitched multiple smaller strips together to form larger rugs . Recognizing the efficiency of a single weaver operating at the width of their body , this style of rug production has been revisited . Embracing the imperfections of handmade craftsmanship , Mark welcomes slight variations in strip lengths , adding a bit of improvised character to every rug .
