With this in mind , Lee and Sarah picked a number of key pieces from Jimmie Martin and started planning the interior with furniture that would connect the lounge and middle room . After this initial planning , the couple soon realised it would be better if Jimmie Martin took over the whole project for a complete cohesive look and feel , as the house was completely empty , and they needed all the rooms filled with furniture and decorated ready to move into and enjoy . They also had just six weeks to try and get all the work done and furniture in place . themed room , which became a “ library bar ” space . “ Jimmie ’ s vision was to create a green room , a totally green room , including a library of green books ,” said Lee . “ He used The Little Greene Lamp Black in both rooms with matching glass chandeliers , letting colours play a big part . The contrasting colours and textures and focal points like
the green books , the Cole & Son wallpaper and green design classic velvet chairs on the round rug , create a warm and welcoming space to socialise or simply sit down and read a book rather than just a walkway to the kitchen . This is now our favourite room in the house .”
When Jimmie Martin first visited the property , the house was dull , plain and beige , lacking any style and personality . Lee and Sarah knew they wanted something different , so starting with some of the items they had on their wish list , Jimmie added and mixed in new products so that the design looked layered and multifaceted . Then Jimmie guided Lee and Sarah through the key design decisions , taking them out of their normal comfort zone . For example , painting the double reception room walls , shelving , fireplace almost black . Lee didn ’ t like green , but Jimmie had a vision , so with the help of a computer-generated image , he showed his clients his design and with their approval , installed a whole green
