THE FLOORING SHOW OPENS ITS DOORS THIS MONTH
The Flooring Show 2022 returns this month with doors opening on Sunday 18th for three days of business and networking at the UK ’ s only event dedicated to the flooring industry . This year ’ s show is a monumental occasion as it celebrates its 60th birthday and promises to be an event to remember for years to come .
There is so much to see and do at The Flooring Show , whether looking to discover the latest techniques , meet with new suppliers , or catch the finals of Fitter of the Year . With plenty on offer we ’ ve compiled a list of what ’ s on and what you need to be aware of ahead of the industry event of the year .

The biggest brands in the industry will be joining us to showcase their latest ranges and products . DEMO ZONE
New floor laying techniques and insights into working with the latest products will be found at the Demo Zone , run by the Flooring Industry Training Association ( FITA ) and supported by the Contract Flooring Association ( CFA ) and National Institute of Carpet & Floorlayers ( NICF ).
All demonstrations will be shown at the dedicated stand in Hall B across all three days of the show , with live demonstrations on subfloor preparation , carpet , resilient flooring and wood flooring products . On Tuesday 20 September FITA will be offering the opportunity for visitors to come and ask them anything as they open the stand up to bespoke demonstrations of anything covered over the course of the show . FITA will also be offering a 15 % discount on courses at the show .
FITTER OF THE YEAR
The much-anticipated final of the NICF Fitter of the Year 2022 will be taking place in the King ’ s Suite across the Sunday and Monday . With a cheque for £ 2000 , winner ’ s trophy , and one year ’ s free NICF Master Fitter membership there is much at stake . Don ’ t miss this nail-biting competition as the 5 finalists put their carpet installation skills to test . The finalists are :

WOOL TRENDS CENTRE
The Campaign for Wool and Wool Carpet Focus Group will be bringing the Wool Trends Centre to life with their theme ‘ Why Wool Carpet Matters ’. Visitors will be able to explore a maze of 100 hanging wool carpet samples supplied by exhibitors . Along with storyboards and a free magazine , visitors can find out for themselves why wool carpet matters and what our wool-championing exhibitors have on offer within their latest ranges .
CELEBRATING 60 YEARS
Alongside the Fitter of the Year competition , the King ’ s Suite will also be hosting a feature celebrating the last 60 years of The Flooring Show . Featuring a history overview and photos from shows come and gone , visitors and exhibitors alike can network and celebrate both the past and the future of flooring . The Flooring Show have also partnered with Yorkshire Wholesale Flooring Limited to bring visitors the King ’ s Suite bar . The bar will be hosting happy hour between 2pm-4pm on Monday 19th and Sunday 20th , all visitors need to do is head to stand B59 to collect their free drinks token . Take a well-earned break after a day of business and buying and catch-up with industry friends whilst you revisit the last 60 years .
