ENTERING THE WORLD OF FURNITURE DESIGN

Gray Design has now entered the world of furniture design . The established design and engineering studio is now collaborating with the upcoming furniture studio Makeri Schatull , a collaboration with extraordinary design and quality in focus , “ we want to give the fallen tree revival thru extraordinary design and craft beyond perfection so you can feel the revival and fall into oblivion ”.
Makeri Schatull is located on the Swedish west coast and is inspired by generations of skilled craftsmen . Entering the studio on a misty morning breathing in the scent of linseed oil and freshly chipped wood creates the right atmosphere for new ideas to take form . Every piece is crafted by hand from the first planing to the finishing touch . Years of refined techniques and effort are put into each creation which makes every piece unique . There are simply no shortcuts to this level of craftsmanship .
The Whiskey and cigar cabinet No 21.0 , launched spring of 2021 became the start of their collaboration . The masterpiece is created based on traditional methods using smoked oak , limestone slabs and with hand forged brass fittings . It will proudly show your finest collection of whiskey and cigars and if you fell in love with the Whiskey and cigar cabinet No 21.0 we are now honoured and thrilled to reveal that a new masterpiece is in the making . The Cabinet No 22.0 will become a delicate companion to its predecessor .
The successful partnership of Gray design and Makeri Schatull has sparked new ideas on how to refine their future collaboration . In 2022 they will offer a bespoke service , tailored furniture to your own needs . The bespoke service will take the customer on a creative journey together with our designer and the master craftsman from idea to finished product .
We are patiently waiting for new creations and collections by Gray Design and Makeri Schatull .
