SUSTAINABLE COMPOSITE DECKING

While aesthetics drive many deckbuilding decisions , homeowners across the country are just as interested in performance . Unlike timber , Trex composite decking resists fading , staining , scratching and mold – and won ’ t rot , warp , crack or splinter . No sanding , oiling or painting is required , and food and drink spills wash off easily with just soap and water . Plus , it ’ s made from 95 % recycled materials , so it ’ s an ecofriendly choice that clients can feel good about .
When it comes to deck designs , more homeowners are thinking outside the box . Regardless of the size of the garden – or budget – Brits no longer feel confined to a basic square space . Remodelers , designers and architects report increased interest from clients in decks with multiple levels , accent walls , curves and cantilevers .
A great deck can add valuable space to a home , and materials matter . Designed to deliver incredible durability , easy maintenance and lasting beauty , Trex composite decking offers performance , sustainability and aesthetic benefits over timber , as well as other outdoor surface materials .
Featuring high-definition , grain patterns and rich , saturated colors , Trex decking offerings are nearly indistinguishable from timber textures . Available in a wider variety of color options , composite boards range from deep earth tones to spicy reds and pristine greys , including tropically-inspired boards that feature the distinct streaked look of exotic hardwoods .

DARK DRAMA : THE STOCKWELL HOUSE PROJECT BY HAVWOODS

One of the recent additions to Havwoods ’ projects portfolio is Stockwell House . Set within the beautiful Lansdowne Garden conservation area in the heart of Stockwell , this impressive and recently transformed Georgian terraced house exudes dark eyecatching character .
The design brief for the project was to create a classic and spacious interior scheme that reflects the language of the external surroundings , connecting it to the inside . All whilst reinstating original features to complement the style and heritage of the property .
The Fendi board in a herringbone composition from the Havwoods collection has been used throughout the lower and upper ground floors , delivering a stunning sense of detail and cohesion . Chosen for its high class and luxurious aesthetic , the herringbone board was also matched with the exquisite Venture Plank Fendi board across the bedrooms and landings to help exude a calmer quality to the home whilst differentiating the areas in the property .
Each room throughout the home embraces a deep monochrome colour palette that gives the interior instant wow-factor . The monochrome theme was carried throughout and into the lower ground floor , with accents of brass and ironmongery to help lift and lighten the space . A mirrored drinks cabinet at the head of the dining room acts as a focal point whilst the bedroom grounds the space and reflects the building ’ s true heritage .
The home is further characterised by vibrant pops of yellow and green with botanical touches that pull the overall scheme together .
The end result is a property that has been rejuvenated and brought back to life with the help of Havwoods ’ beautifully engineered wood flooring .
