Intricate trellising had previously been fitted as a form of windbreak , but it didn ’ t do the full job . Both functionality and aesthetics were important to the client and they wanted the structure to integrate with the current surrounding trellis frame as if it had always been a part of the original design .
The ‘ Deluxe ’ model of the Pod was selected as this single module structure can cover an area of up to seven metres , with screens on all sides so the space can be closed in .
The width of the front and back screens was split , allowing for a central upright and two 3.5 metre screens , allowing for greater flexibility of use .
