To the other side stands a bespoke full height shelving unit that frames the view towards Battersea Power Station and is finished in a natural steam beech veneer wood above a contrasting reeded dark red lacquer cabinet with storage . A bespoke sideboard with reeded doors and open shelving sits below the TV , with display shelving above providing a focal point in the room . Thomas explains “ The colour inspiration of these bespoke pieces is combining the golden beiges of the palace of Westminster with a rich pulsating colour that is the modern city ”.
Bespoke Sheer linen curtains accompany and soften the strong architectural lines of the building .
DINING ROOM
The backdrop of the room is a feature wall created by introducing a bespoke wine display in a light oak veneer that becomes the perfect frame for the central art piece . The symmetry in the room is enhanced by replicating the window on one side with a printed mirror artwork of the city in plan-view . Thomas points out that the view enjoyed from the 28th floor is cleverly mapped on the mirror making it a floor to ceiling art work .
This symmetric view is framed on the top and side by a textured black wallpaper stripe feature framed with a brass trim that brings the space together and connects it to the rectangular shapes of the building . This shape is balanced by the soft edges of the rectangular dining table , which has been particularly designed and manufactured for this space only . The table features a gun powder lacquer top on an array of trapezoidal legs finished in architectural bronze . It adds a modern architectural feel to this exciting dining room . The chairs are Italian designed with a grained navy leather back and a textured linen seat with black stained legs .
