Caroline Riley-a fine artist
working on the North Yorkshire
Moors- is mostly inspired by her
local environment and Scotland
(from Skye to Edinburgh). She uses most media, loves
drawing and even tackles
etching occasionally-though
she finds the process a little
unpredictable.
Working as a printed textile
designer in the past has led
to her tackling a variety of
subjects–whatever catches her
eye-from birds, trees and sheep
to Gormley men in the Water of
Leith- currently she is working
on a series of paintings of Ben
Tianavaig on Skye. She has exhibited in galleries
from London to Skye but mostly
in local galleries and her own
studio/gallery on the moors.
