Pieces produced for the MIMA Collection are tactile and handmade
to a high standard of craftsmanship, embracing the natural character
of the British hardwoods used. Designs made in the JOHN EADON
workshop are made to order, making it possible to tailor pieces to
individual requirements or to commission a new bespoke piece.
Background:
A Fine Art graduate from Norwich School of Art and Design 2008,
(now called Norwich University of the Arts), John Eadon has built
on a background of farming, art and woodwork, as wide and
varied as artist technician work to shop-fitter and joiner, festival
and theatre set builder to specialist joinery for English Heritage
and woodwork/3D technician at Norwich University of the Arts.
Returning to the base of the family farm in Warwickshire in 2013,
John Eadon renovated parts of the house and farm buildings to
provide a home for his family and a workshop to make from. 2016
saw a renewed interest and focus on furniture design for John, and
the development of the first collection from JOHN EADON, to launch
at London Design Fair 2017.
