Hive, A Unique Style
Outdoor Living In A Different Way
This year, EGO Paris, the French manufacturer of outdoor furniture,
has turned to designer Fabrice Berrux for a contemporary and
graphic design collection.
The aim of EGO Paris has always been to make life outdoors a
special time for conviviality and friendliness, and because Fabrice
Berrux shares this same view, he was an ideal partner. For the Hive
collection, Fabrice imagined confettis gathering together to make
the structure of the furniture.
"These cells blend together naturally as they attract one another
to become a coherent whole" explains the designer. "The
hexagonal cells of the hive struck me as obvious as it meets the
idea of composition which essentially is the signature of EGO
Paris."
The Hive collection is modular. Each piece of furniture from
armchair to sofa, stool, loveseat, table and half table, are made in
the shape of a cell allowing for various compositions.
