New finishes for Belgian touch-sensitive design switches
Basalte, the Belgian manufacturer of design switches and
products for the smart home, recently launched a whole new
line of finishes for their touch-sensitive design switches.
Inspired by the popular fer forgé finish, which is hand carved
and made in Belgium, the new line appeals to today’s trends
and taste, ranging from gunmetal and grey to bronze and rosé.
Additionally, Basalte introduces the new soft copper finish, for
that gentle touch in your interior.
Besides this appealing and timeless design, Sentido and
Deseo also create more comfort by simplifying the control of
your smart home. Lights, shades, scenes, even the multi-room
audio system can be controlled at the slightest touch.
At 100% Design in London, Basalte presents the new finishes,
along with their beautiful app for high-quality multiroom audio
and their customisable speaker concept.

Besselink & Jones
Besselink & Jones is a British company which has been
bringing together the very best in design and craftsmanship
in bespoke fine lighting since 1959. The company’s roots
extend back more than fifty years with the foundation of
Jack Cadman’s original ceramic conversion and brass-turning
workshops in Surrey. Hank Besselink, who came from a
precision engineering background, began working alongside
Jack to develop new designs and techniques.
Attracting craftsmen in the fields of gilding, woodturning,
cabinetry and engineering gave the workshops the skills and
experience to handle more delicate and complex projects and
before long they became regularly involved in more specialist
restoration of everything from chandeliers to furniture.
