30 CHRISTIAN LIAIGRE As ship yards across the world introduce in-house design teams for yacht interiors, Christian Liaigre have a dedicated yachting design studio headed up by Guillaume Rolland, who believes that superyacht owners should be given the option to choose their own interior design team to achieve a specific look on a new build yacht. Christian Liaigre, a visionary interior designer, and a pioneer of classic contemporary interior design, has over the past twenty-five years, built a reputation for a refined quality in furniture and interiors. With a keen sensibility for space and light, design inspiration is drawn from local cultures and traditions, meticulous attention is given to the sourcing of materials, and an affinity for artisanal work, Christian combines the art of understatement with great elegance. Guillaume joined Christian Liaigre’s team and became the principal in charge of the design studio in 2001 and has been involved in all design houses projects developed since 2002. Before working at Christian Liaigre, Guillaume worked for three years with Philippe Starck after graduating from the Paris Beaux Arts School in 1995 with a degree in Architecture and Fine Arts.
