25 The journey of La Compagnie Française de l’Orient et de la Chine continued in 2011 thanks to Laurent Dumas, a business man with a passion for art, who gave it a fresh boost by connecting the brand with contemporary art de vivre. By the end of 2014, Laurent Dumas handed over general management to Sophie le Tanneur. After 20 years of experience in international groups known for their sense of innovation, she took over and re-energised mythical French brand Daum - the luxury glassmaker founded in 1878. Her meeting with Laurent Dumas allowed La Compagnie Française de l'Orient et de la Chine to continue its journey by creating a unique style: a fusion between Parisian art de vivre and meticulous Asian savoir-faire. The result is an understated luxury, without ostentation, which mixing influences, techniques and colours to make life more beautiful.
