The Manchester Furniture Show
It’s HOT up North!
Just as the summer is heating up The
Manchester Furniture Show (19-21
July Manchester Central) will open
its doors. Over 120 exhibitors will be
showing their latest inspirations and
innovations in over 100,000 square
feet of dedicated exhibition space. The
Exhibitor List reads like a Who’s Who
in furniture and furnishings with some
of the biggest brands from the UK and
abroad launching new designs and
collections.
A brief tour of some of the Show’s
launch highlights reveals why this Show
has all the ingredients for a lively and
enthralling event with a diverse mix of
new designs, textures and innovations
that are set to captivate.
New launches in living & dining have
styles for every environment, using a
myriad of materials. From the ultra
modern collection from Serene,
combining wood, metal, leather
and glass, to the natural and rustic
collections from Baker and Rowico
made from various reclaimed woods.
Contrasts are in full flow on the VIDA
Living stand who use acacia and marble
in their new ranges.

An abundance of riches lies in the in
upholstery launches - Wade and Lebus
are both displaying new collections and
fabrics ranging from the traditional to
the hip, Mark Webster Designs feature
fabrics that have been exclusively
designed for them, and Harris Tweeds
and solid oak trims feature on the
Carlton Furniture and Vintage Sofa
Company designs. The excellence of
Italian upholstery is showcased by
Cappellini Salotti, whose new designs
are inspired by their stunning Tuscan
location, and Furnico are introducing
leather options for the first time.
Bedroom also has a host of new
textures and styles, several include
motion techniques - innovative
German brand Rauch introduce their
new Synchrono wardrobe system,
featuring simultaneous door opening
and Furmanac launch their high-end
Hestia® Motion range of beds. Painted
is also high on the ‘hot’ list with the
launch Sophie, a country styled range
from Kingstown and the addition of
nature inspired colours to Corndell’s
Annecy range.

The Show delivers on furnishings
too, offering the best of the new, the
funky and the different from some of
the UK’s best loved interiors brands.
Gallery Direct will bring a wide
selection of their multi-faceted objects
and curios, and Wilde Java are showing
some eccentric Far East sourced
accessories. Lights, rugs, mirrors and
pictures also feature - don’t miss Wire
Lamps who have unique lamps crafted
from a maze of wire and glass.
It isn’t just the Show that Wow’s, the
venue and the city also star. Held in
the former Central Rail Station - now a
superb modern exhibition centre, the
venue is light and comfortable. The
city itself is vibrant and teeming with
on-trend restaurants, roof-top bars and
stylish hotels. This is Show is a must for
any buyer of furniture and furnishings,
head to Manchester this summer and
