> 34 THE ART OF DESIGN issue 15 The Spinning Jenny “The Spinning Jenny”, a restaurant and bar in Manchester Airport, is inspired directly from the famous textile machine of the 1700s, created in the nearby county of Lancashire. The rows of industrial Tagg stools and benches, paired with workbench style tables and exposed brick walls brings an elegant touch of the old textile mills of Northen England in the Industrial Revolution. Chairs from our spindle-back range (Lena, Hula, and Tarantella) contribute to the artisanal, crafted, and quality feel of a bygone era. Our Mel chair and butcher-block table tops lend a contemporary sophistication, as do the touches of colour splashed around the space.
