Executive Director...
Dear Friends of The Arc:
Each passing year seems to
suggest a theme for the
work we do. This past year,
2013, the most dominant
theme was our increased
commitment to partnerships.
Forming partnerships has
become a necessity for The
Arc. Our mission is too broad and too demanding to tackle alone. This is why we have intentionally reached out to individuals, groups, and organizations throughout the county that share our commitment to supporting quality lives for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Throughout this process, we have consistently found that our partners—whether a family advocacy group, business sponsor, college, or local arts organization—are eager to contribute their expertise and passion. Sharing ideas and resources, we find that together we can create so many exciting opportunities for the folks we serve—and have a great time in the process.
The remainder of this report provides a quick look at some of our many dedicated partners. Please take time to explore the pictures and videos embedded in the report. When you witness the enthusiasm and determination of our partners, you will see why we are so grateful to all of them. Our achievements in 2013 speak to the value of teamwork and a shared vision.
