The Arc Changes Lives
The Arc of Somerset provides quality services and advocacy for individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities and their families to support
development and achievement at every stage of life.
The funds we raise through your support of The Arc Angel Gala
“A Celebration of 45 Years of Service” will be used to support and enhance vital programs
and services for children, adolescents, and adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Each year The Arc of Somerset County provides over 1,500 individuals with
developmental disabilities the opportunity to achieve their own measure of success.
We provide a full range of services for every age and type of challenge. Our goal is to promote
learning and independence in an integrated, community based setting.
During Fiscal Year 2017:
~ 40 children attended the Developmental Daycare and Preschool Programs
~ 185 children received early intervention services
~ More than 387 families received information, referral, and 272 received advocacy support
for their family member with a disability
~ 300 children, adolescents and adults enjoyed a fun and recreational experience at Camp
Jotoni and 40 attended the respite programs.
~ 34 parents and children received medical, educational, parenting, and job support via our
Parents and Children Together program
~ 62 of parents and children received Intensive In-Home services
~ 95 adults lived in our group homes and apartments in Somerset County communities
~ 495 volunteers who provided approximately 3,468 hours of volunteering
