Recent Liability Claims :
• Dog cut paw while out on a training session and required stitches . Total paid : $ 919 .
• Dog became overly nervous during training class ; dog pawed at its face and nervously bit side of his mouth causing injury . Total paid : $ 7,312 .
• During a board and train , the dog escaped under fence , suffering several puncture wounds and scratches . Total paid : $ 675 .
• During a group training class , two dogs started playing . One dog caused injury to the other dog ’ s ears . Total paid : $ 1,020 .
• While staying at trainer ’ s facility , a dog ’ s health started to decline . Vet was called and concluded the dog had pneumonia . Dog passed away the next day . Total paid : $ 5,249 .
• Trainer was working with a client and their dog . Trainer brought two dogs with her to the session . One of the trainer ’ s dogs got away from her , biting a third party . Total paid : $ 15,000 .
• Dogs in trainer ’ s care got into something toxic , causing them both to be sick . Total paid : $ 733 .
• During training class , two dogs got into an altercation and one dog was injured . Total paid : $ 436 .
• Dog was being leashed trained . Dog bit the leash and pulled causing it to break . The dog ran off and attacked another dog . Total paid : $ 1,321 .
• During an agility training class , one dog collided with another , causing a hairline fracture in hip and broken leg . Total paid : $ 3,233 .
Workman ’ s Compensation Claims :
• Employee was tripped by a dog during a training session and suffered a sprain to lower back . Total paid : $ 4,981 .
• Trainer bent down to pet the dog the same time the dog jumped up to greet the trainer . Dog hit the jaw of the trainer causing a cracked tooth . Total paid : $ 410 .
• Two dogs began to fight during a training session . Trainer attempted to break up the fight and was bitten on both hands and arms . Total paid : $ 2,886 .
