In 2009, Dr. Frank Zolli, Dean of the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic (UBCC) realized that MRI spine
interpretation needed a formal place in the curriculum of the
chiropractic student. With that goal in mind, he turned to Dr.
Mark Studin who had been educating the profession on MRI
spine interpretation and created a forum to start the process of
educating UBCC students. As an adjunct assistant professor
of clinical sciences, Dr. Studin realized that better resources
would further enhance the education of the UBCC students
and turned to the State University of New York at Stony Brook
School of Medicine, Department of Neuroradiology, which
houses one of the best teaching programs in the country for
medical neuroradiology.
