Club Notices
2016 General Meeting Date
the provisional date for the General Meeting will be Tuesday 5
April, 8pm.
This meeting is held annually for members to consider and if
thought fit to approve, the subscription increases. A notice of
meeting and full agenda will be posted in March.
Services Wharf Use
To assist the Club to manage access to the Services Wharf it is
important that members contact the Waterfront Department
if more than 15 minutes tie up is required. It is particularly
important if the vessel is to be left unattended.
Overnight berthing on the services wharf is not permitted
without express permission from the Club and any vessel
berthed overnight will be charged the standard berth fee
to the primary vessel owner’s account. Should members
require a work berth for vessel maintenance or repairs, it
is recommended that a booking is made in advance. The
designated work berths are located off the Green Point
hardstand/Boatyard and are available from Monday to Friday.
For bookings telephone Boatyard (02) 9998 3751 or email
boatyard@rpayc.com.au. For more information relating to the
use of the Services Wharf or Work Berths members may refer
to the Club By-Laws or contact the Waterfront Department
waterfront@rpayc.com.au
Mandatory Contractor Marine Cards
1st December 2015 – Contractors must hold a
Marine Card in order to work on your vessel at the
Club. To avoid any inconvenience please check
with your contractors and ensure that they comply.
Contractors can be referred to the Club reception for
more information.

Car Parks
With the increase in Members actively participating in Club
activities and using the Club’s facilities the car parks come
under pressure. The Club’s car parks are available to members
when using the club and their boats, but are not available as
a storage facility. There are a number of cars parked on club
property which have not been moved or used in a very long
time and which appear to be being ‘stored’ at the club, thereby
taking up valuable car parking space for members who seek to
use the Club. Club staff have been asked to identify cars which
appear to be being stored at the club and efforts will be made
to track down their owners to seek removal. Should you be
storing a car in the car park, it is requested that you remove it
ahead of staff trying to identify the owner. Should identification
be unsuccessful, the cars will be towed and impounded.
Alyse awarded Sportsperson of the Year
Congratulations to Alyse Saxby for being awarded Pittwater
Council Australia Day Sportsperson of the year!
Alyse has represented Australia at the World Games for Special
Olympics three times. This year she won a gold medal in
Sailing Level 3 at the World Games in Los Angeles with her
sailing partner and coach on board. She was also a finalist
for Sailor of the Year with a Disability at the 2015 Yachting
Australia Awards.
2015 Member Survey
Thank you to all the Members who completed the 2015
Member Survey. The draft report has been written by Taverner
Research and there are some very pleasing results with many
areas showing strong performance ratings. There are also
indications for improvement in other areas that will be acted on
as soon as is possible. The survey results will be an important
part of the formation of the 2016-2020 Strategic Plan. The full
survey report will be made available to Members in February,
and the Board will present a summary of the report at the
General Meeting on April 5, 2016.
