Marine Rescue App
Heading offshore? Don’ t forget to log on and off with Marine Rescue, now able to be done via their App. The App allows boaters to log on quickly and easily with Marine Rescue NSW with just the push of a button. If you are logged on, someone responsible knows you’ re out on the water, your destination, how many people are on board and when you’ re expecting to return. If you don’ t log off to let Marine Rescue know you’ ve returned safely, Marine Rescue can immediately start to search for you.
Position Available
The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club has a position available for a Junior Dock Attendant. This is a full time position( 5 days / week) and will include weekend work, Normal duties include but not limited to: 1. Assisting members into and out of berths 2. Tender operations 3. General tidy of the marina and grounds 4. Light maintenance as directed by supervisors 5. General Duties as required A current boat drivers licence is required, family history of boat usage or sailing experience would be preferred but not essential. Club Moorings Available
The Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from members who may wish to occupy a Club mooring. The Club moorings are situated in front of the marina and north of the breakwall(“ G” arm) and currently the Club has available mooring number 7( suitable for a 45’-50’ vessel) and mooring number 16( suitable for a 50’- 60’ vessel). RPAYC Emails
The Club has recently moved their email communications to a different service provider. There have been issues in emails being sent to SPAM or JUNK inboxes. We have looked into the issue and after testing it appears the problem has been resolved. RPAYC emails should be now sent to your email inbox however, Gmail and Hotmail accounts can auto-categorise emails into Promotional and Other inboxes.
Sailing Equipment Audits
Special Regulation Equipment Audits( Category 1- 7) expire on the 30th of June. To continue racing in any of the Alfred’ s series from July 1, vessels must have a current Equipment Audit. Scheduled audit dates are: Saturday 4 June Saturday 19 June Saturday 25 June What do I need to do? Complete the relevant Audit Form and submit to the sailing office who will then organise an auditor. Club YA Special Regulation Auditors
The Club is seeking members interested in becoming a Club Auditor. Being an Auditor is a vital role at any club, allowing and educating boat owners on the special regulations and equipment requirements to go sailing. There are two levels of Auditors, Club and National Equipment Auditors. If you would like to assist fellow members and become a club auditor contact the sailing office today sailing @ rpayc. com. au
Rendering Works on Jack Gale Centre
Scaffolding will be assembled around the Jack Gale Centre and lift well to repair some of the rendering on the building. Access to the Jack Gale Centre and associated facilities such as storage and toilets will not be affected.
