How can I Support Youth Sailing,
What is the Youth Competition Fund?
The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC) Youth Competition Support Fund (YCSF) is a fund from which funds may be
disbursed to aid youth members of The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club advance their skills and engagement in the sport of
sailing by assisting with the costs of competition at national and international levels. Athletes from centreboard, individual or
youth development may apply to the Committee of Rear Commodores for support.
Australian Sports Foundation
The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) works with sports clubs and organisations, large and small, and from all over the
country, to help raise money for Australian sport. They partner with grassroots and community organisations right through to
elite and national levels to help raise funds for vital projects – projects that will help improve the health of our nation, build
our communities and strengthen our national sporting identity. Partnering with ASF means that donations of $2 or more are
tax deductible which is a real benefit to donors and makes fundraising easier. The Club has two projects with ASF and has
eight athletes with individual projects as listed below. Your support is greatly welcomed.

Lighting of the Fire
This year’s Lighting of the Fire, 6pm on Friday 25 May, will be hosted by Annie Wilmot and Natasha Bryant with special guests
Nic Douglass and Jason Waterhouse.
The girls are currently campaigning at events around the world for Australian selection at the Tokyo Olympics in the 49er FX
Class. Leading up to the event a silent auction is being run to help raise much need funds, the prize is a once in a left time

Additional raffle items will be on offered on the night.
