Cruising Review

How good has summer been!
The Christmas Cruise to the Harbour, Jibbon Beach and Jervis bay was fantastic. We had NYE on the Harbor, dinner at the Woolwich Pier hotel then watched the fireworks aboard Mixed Nuts. We enjoyed Swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Jibbon and Jervis bay, lots of walks and enjoying great company and the odd sundowners.
Australia Day, we joined the Dicko Cup at Hallett’ s. It’ s a great place for a club get together and who can’ t resist a free sausage sizzle. It was a great sail back to the club the next day which proved to be very competitive.
February and March cruises were a man overboard course and an overnighter at Towlers Bay, sail to Maitland Bay, Patonga for lunch and weekends at Akuna Bay and Smiths Creek
Easter saw the first of our night sails to the Harbour. Arriving at the harbour around 10pm on a perfect night we anchored at Blackwattle Bay. It’ s a must do. Morning coffee at Glebe and dinner that night at the Pub. Next day we moved to anchor off Birkenhead Point, the idea was to go the Cockatoo Island to see the Biennale. We got a bit distracted and ended up at Birkenhead shopping centre. Cockatoo had the wait till Sunday. Cockatoo Island is a great place to walk around and this year’ s Biennale is well worth the visit. That afternoon we moved anchorage to Store beach and had a relaxing trip home Monday.
