Happy Birthday Jack
Life Member , Jack Gale celebrated his 90th Birthday in October . On Saturday 22 October many Members and Guests celebrated this momentous milestone with birthday cake at the day ’ s racing presentation .
RPAYC Welcomes New Staff
Executive Assistant - Lisa Hughes
Lisa has been appointed Suzanne Davies ’ new Executive Assistant . Lisa comes from a working background in production and television having worked at channel 9 , 10 and the ABC . Lisa is looking forward to a “ sea change ” working by the water .
Volunteers Needed
The Club is hosting a number of regattas in November including the NSW Etchells Championships and HARKEN International Youth Match Racing Championships which will require volunteer assistance . If you are able to assist in race management or billeting visiting teams please let the sailing office know . If anyone is available to help on a few Sundays over the sailing season for Sailability please contact the sailing office on 9998 3700 or sailing @ rpayc . com . au so that your contact details can be forwarded to Jill Connell who is helping to coordinate a volunteer roster to support Sailability ’ s Sunday sailing .
Olympic Welcome Home
Over a hundred Members and Guests got involved with the Rio Olympic welcome home party . With Brazillian music , dancers and menu it was a great night for all ! Sailing Administrator - Angus Stranack
Angus Stranack has been appointed as part-time sailing administrator . Angus is a local sailor and regularly sails out of the RPAYC . Currently he is at university studying marketing .
Accounts - Di Munke
Di works as the Club ’ s Finance Assistant on a part time basis . Di has worked in the clubs industry for many years and is very much looking forward to working at the RPAYC .
Waterfront- Roger Lavel
Roger comes from a sailing background having worked in the industry for a number of years . Roger ’ s role varies from maintenance to waterfront assistance and tenders . Roger ’ s working week is from Tuesday to Saturday .
Membership Co-ordinator - Kate Roy
Kate has previously worked in the Food and Beverage many years . Kate transitioned to the office as an office assistance a few days a week helping across all departments and she has progressed to the role as the Club ’ s Membership Coordinator .
