Cruising News Coral Coast fleet reach Dunk Island The participants in the Sesquicentenary Coral Coast 2017 cruise have just completed their most northerly rendezvous get together on Dunk Island. At 1255 nautical miles from Pittwater four boats - of the seventeen enjoying the CC17 cruise - (Billabong, Nirvana’s Kitchen, Novae and Isabella) celebrated with a formal gathering. The pulling power of the RPAYC cruisers was enormous on Dunk - they managed to get the cafe to open during the week at 10am to make coffee just for them. There were lots of walks, sundowners on the beach and lunch on Purtaboi Island. A farewell dinner of garlic/chilli prawns and green curry mackerel (thanks to hunter/gatherer Neil on Billabong) was a fitting end to an enjoyable Dunk Island rendezvous. Boats are now heading south – except for Novae who are sailing up to Lizard Island. The next rendezvous is at Mackay on 4th to 6th September. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RPAYC Mallorca Yacht Rally 5 to 21 July 2018 The 2018 RPAYC Mallorca Yacht Rally is shaping up to be an exciting International club event.
