We are a warm friendly group of ladies who enjoys dining out at one of the local restaurants. Our Wine Master selects wine from our club cellar to match the menu organised by our Food Master. We are one of more than 200 chapters of the Beefsteak and Burgundy Club which was established back in 1954 in Adelaide, South Australia whose primary objective of the club is to create an environment where members can share their knowledge and experience of good wine and food and fellowship on a regular basis. Important Reminder About Drinking on the Water Competitors are advised that NSW Water Police will be conducting random breath testing of skippers and crew this season (sail boats and motor vessels). Don’t go overboard with alcohol. The blood alcohol limit on the water is the same as on the roads - 0.05% ... but be careful. The wind, waves and the sun combine to multiply the effects of alcohol. Your chances of disorientation and drowning are increased. This goes for everyone - the skipper, the passengers and the crew. Be aware, random breath testing applies to the operator of a boat in NSW Invictus Games Sailing Day The RPAYC will be showcasing the wonderful relationship with Soldier On with a specialised Sailing Day on Wednesday the 7 June in preparation for the upcoming 2018 Invictus Games to be held in Sydney on the 18 – 29 October. The Invictus Games aim to use the power of sport to inspire re- covery, support rehabilitation and generate wider understand- ing and respect for the wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. The Club and it’s Members have supported IdS and Soldier On in following the same initiative as the Invictus Games and it’s been reflected into the community with this great opportunity to really show the great work the Club has achieved in the past two years. On 7 June, volunteers and Soldier On participants will be out sailing in the Elliott 7s on Pittwater in a practice course for both Race Officials and Competitors. Similar to the 2000 Syd- ney Olympics, RPAYC Members will be heavily involved in the race management during the games. RPAYC Club Coach Tom Spithill who has been leading the way with the initiative with help from Members is really excited with sailing event. “ I think this event is a great opportunity for Members and the community to come and see the
