The Chinese tea ceremony is considered to be one of the most sacred of the
Chinese nuptials. It serves as the Bride’s symbolic introduction to the Groom’s
family.
Tradition dictates that the tea service itself is part of the Bride’s dowry. It becomes
an heirloom that she will then use again at her own daughter’s wedding ceremony.
Mia and Greg added a modern twist to their tea ceremony by serving Mia as
well as Greg’s parents. Customarily only the Groom’s parents participate in
the tea ceremony.
