Over the last seven years, Saskia has both travelled the world as well as spent time in the picturesque town of Swellendam. Whilst there, Saskia ran FIRST YEARS Saskia a guesthouse with family, connecting her with admiration for nature and its amazing beauty. For two of these years Saskia worked with disabled people in the Netherlands. She also travelled through Europe and Indonesia only to find her passion lay in creating spaces for people where they could just be themselves and calm their minds. Being more of a free-styler than a trend follower per se, Saskia feels there is an absolute need in today’s society for spaces where we can just become silent, plant a tree or just give something back. “I see myself organising festivals where people come together to share. Being at The Aleit Academy will give me that professional foundation to be able to speak and live the language of events and hospitality” says Saskia.
