The moment has passed
and you’ve said I do to the
person you love. You’ve said
your vows and meant them.
Then comes the honeymoon
and you’re in wedded bliss.
You get home, he picks you
up and carries you over the
threshold. Once over, reality
kicks in. You are bombarded
with the family already in
your house. The mother
in your kitchen cooking,
cousins on your video game
console, sisters on the house
phone, and brothers in the
garage beating out music.
Is this what you’ve married
into? Do you really have to
deal with this?

Of course all sce-
narios are different. Maybe
your spouse mother or
siblings don’t like you and
always picks a fight with
you. Maybe they require
you to follow them to different rooms and stomp on
somebody. Maybe they are
just outright liars. Where
does the line draw? When it
comes to family there is no
line. Everything gets hazy
and somehow you’re caught
in this world wind of should
I do something about it and
if I do, then what?
Unfortunately, the
sad truth is, when you
married your spouse, you
married the family too. You
