A spinner imitates no ‘natural’ bait to a bream, but when they are nesting or spawning, they become very territorial and vigorously defend their real-estate. The lure appeals to their basic survival instinct. Spinners use flash and vibration to attract fish. This flash and vibration comes from their revolving blade. No other fishing lure has this unique feature. When the bite gets slow you have to entice the fish to strike. This is the perfect time to tie on a spinner. It’s a bit like teasing a pet cat with a piece of string. A spinner has the same effect - fish simply can’t resist it. The most popular colours are brass, copper and silver. Keep changing colours until the fish show some interest. For more fish-catching attraction add three or four worms to the hook. You won’t be disappointed.
