ADVISER MATTERS
Top opportunities and focus From here , we asked the big questions around where advisers saw their main opportunities and focus for the year ahead , and where they saw the main challenges and once again , there was a clear picture . When asked about opportunities and focus – there was a clear winner , by some margin ! Further engagement with clients topped the list by quite a way , with the desire to further grow client banks also high on the list . Second and fourth respectively were the need for more efficiency and to adopt technology further into businesses – a clear focus of more client engagement in an efficient manner !
1 : Further client engagement 2 : New and further efficiencies
3 : Increase client bank 4 : Role of and use of technology
FURTHER GOOD NEWS CAME IN THE FORM OF CLIENT GROWTH , WITH 75 % SAYING THAT THEY HAD GROWN THEIR CLIENT BANKS DURING THE PANDEMIC .
The top priority ( further client engagement ) scored twice as many votes than that of fourth placed role and use of technology .
Top challenges and threats The usual suspects dominated the list of challenge for advisers , with the top three getting at least three times as many votes as any other referenced : 1 . Regulation 2 . Administrative burden 3 . Regulatory fees
How do advisers want to operate going forward ? Next , we asked advisers how they intended to operate post covid , and what had changed as a result of the pandemic .
