Summary and support The results of the survey are extremely valuable and provide the insight we need to ensure that we are in the best possible position to support you and your business – so what are the key takeaways and what can you expect by way of support ?
• The future of our sector looks bright , advisers are positive and the need for advice continues to grow , with advisers citing re-engaging clients overwhelmingly as their top priority for the coming months , whilst also realising the importance of engaging younger clients .
Advisers are looking to the future , with only 19 % looking to exit the industry in the next three years , most of which had already made those plans before the pandemic struck , and 54 % said that they are looking to expand with ‘ building value for the future ’ scoring high as an opportunity for the months ahead . Some of the ways of working during lockdown will continue as part of our everyday life , e . g . virtual engagement alongside physical and , once again , advisers cited creating greater efficiencies and reducing administrative burdens as key to their plans .
We are all more conscious of our health and general wellbeing , and will need to be mindful of a growing pattern of vulnerability amongst clients . Unsurprisingly , regulation continues to be advisers ’ biggest challenge .

• We continue to provide access to a growing range of solutions to meet the needs for advice , including later life , estate planning , extended DB transfer solution and ever-expanding investment solutions
• We will support those looking to exit with our Horizon proposition and those looking to expand with support around qualifications , training and extended product solutions
• We will continue to ensure you have access to the very best regulatory support and advice
• We will continue our work to ensure firms are aware of and have access to the right support for vulnerable clients
• We will continue to work with firms to help them to build value in their business
