nternational property investors are turning their
attention to Lisbon real estate.
With Emerging Trends in Real Estate Europe 2015 placing
Lisbon on its Top 10 most attractive investment cities ahead of London and Milan - buyers are falling in love
with the investment allure of the Portuguese capital.
The annual report evaluates the interest of real
estate developers and professionals and looks at
28 European cities. Published jointly by ULI and
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the research document placed Lisbon No. 9, up 17 places from the position it held only 12 months ago.
Part of the city’s real estate attraction is price: Here,
one may buy in prime locations that in many other
European capitals have become unaffordable.
But it is not price alone. Lisbon is known as one of
the world’s most beautiful cities. Spread over seven
hills bordering the Rio Tejo, it is a city full of cultural
heritage and architectural richness, accompanied by
stunning river views. Shaped by history and modernity, it is a city where gothic and baroque monuments
stand side by side with bold contemporary buildings.
