in God’s Word for which the above verse is the evidence. We need God’s word every day just the same way we need food every day for our survival. God expresses Himself very explicitly in the above verse that He wants man to live a life full of miracles. God exists in the word form to empower man to live a powerful life. The Church failed to see the revelation power which the Word held and saw it as a mere book. Even those who observe the Power in God’s Word read 1 or 2 chapters a day. The sad part is that, it doesn’t fetch us anything if we only read the word doing nothing about it. Feeding on the word is the solution. Let us now see the steps involved in to receive this amazing power. 1 Corinthians 2:4, 5 – And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Every believer who has the Holy Spirit in him, should also have the power working in him otherwise the Faith is in vain. This faith does not rely on the wisdom of man but on the Power of God. This power should be vividly evident in our teachings and our words which are the primary characteristics of people who have Christ dwelling in them. All the teachings would be futile, if we fail to display the Power of God. No matter which profession a person is in, he is in it to earn his livelihood and to satisfy his hunger. But the Word of God clearly says that man’s survival is based on God’s Word and not on anything else. Ever since man manipulated this, he lived as an unbeliever and saved up everything in fear of his security. But when God promises us we will live in abundance for generations to come. We will find this truth only The Power of the Holy Spirit precisely differentiates the people who believe in Jesus Christ and those who do not. We as a church should ask God to bestow His Power on us. God wants us to have power and to live in power for every word that we speak. When the believer speaks, things should happen. And there should be no doubt about it. If a believer prophecies that his debts be cancelled, then it should be done. Now, we shall also see how we can grow in this area. If we are to progress, we need to have a vision. Lack of a vision leads to destruc- tion. Those who would like to possess this power of God need to have love. They have to operate and grow in love, only then, will God bless them with this immeasurable power. If God’s power is separated from God’s word then it becomes a mere powerless book. 1 Corinthians 1:17-21 – For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. What is the meaning of preaching the gospel without using the true words of God? Assigning ourselves with the sign of the cross does not empower us. But only showing the power of the cross in ourselves is the true gospel. The people who demonstrate this power are the ones who possess Christ and they are the ones who bear witness for Christ. The Power of the cross destroys the wisdom of the wise and nullifies the understanding of the prudent. This means that any person’s wisdom becomes futile if he considers himself wise. According to this verse, we must not boast in our wisdom but only in the Power of the Word. The Cross is enriched with Power. We nee
