We always cry out to the Lord and complain why we have to suffer with problematic children or spouses. We always complain
about our debts, problems, difficulties, diseases etc. The Israelites, who did not value
the power of God, cried out and murmured
against Moses and Aaron. They did not pray
for the authority of God but only talked
about how they survived in Egypt. When
we also are unable to bear the temporary
problems, ask God to take us away. Satan
depresses us and makes us rebel against God.
Satan instills fear in us and distances us from
God. He always tries to put us down in all
matters. But God out of his love wishes that
we be far above everything. When we know
the will of God for us, we enjoy our prayer
time with him. We like to worship God and
wish for a long life.
Numbers 14:4 says, And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return
into Egypt.
Numbers 14:9 says, Only rebel not ye against
the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land;
for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us; fear
them not.
God really in Heaven? If we remind
ourselves of the cross, then we can
know that He is in us in the form of
the Holy Spirit as our Comforter. God
has given us everything and has blessed
us with power to win over them. We
need not look helplessly at the mountains, hills or somebody else for help.
(Psalm 121:1)
Romans 10:8 says, But what saith it? The
word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and
in thy heart: that is, the word of faith,
which we preach;
The word is near us and in our
mouth. God who is the word is in our
mouth. What are we supposed to do?
We should prophesy, pray and receive.
Even if we are facing big problems, they
all can be solved. The scripture says
that the word is written on our hearts.
So let us change ourselves to speak the
word from our hearts. We should use
the word to prophesy, pray and fight
with God till we can win and testify.
Romans 10:9-10 says, That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
We have to show our faith by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is
Lord because faith speaks. There is a
relation between salvation and accepting Jesus. It is just not enough if we are
baptized. But we should also see the
blessing being manifested in our life.
Among the 40 lakh Israelites who
walked in the wilderness for 40 years,
Caleb may have lost his family. And his
relationship with them may have been
severed. He did not worry but only had
great faith. As we also face hardships in
our journey of life, we should not let go
of the faith in our heart and the word
in our mouth. We are the children of
God who have won over death. We
have been created in the image of God.
Caleb must have witnessed many tragic
incidents and seen people dying. They
could have disturbed him. But he was
not moved, for his faith was great like
The Israelites said that they should make
a captain and return to Egypt. But Caleb
says that they are ‘bread for them.’ It means
that with God’s power, they can easily win
over all the problems in Canaan. God will
make whatever we fear as our food. Whatever we are afraid of, we can easily overcome
them. As we are made in the image of God,
we are filled with his authority and power.
Even if 10,000 people fall at our side, we
need not fear because danger or disaster will
not strike us since we are blessed! Hallelujah!
Romans 10:6-7 says, But the righteousness
which is o
