HEBREWS 2 : 1-4 says, Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Here Apostle Paul is talking about Salvation. When we meet a believer, we ask, Are you saved? Did you accept Jesus Christ as your saviour ? When they give an affirmative answer, we believe that they have received salvation. But it is not so simple . There is much more to it. Hebrews 2nd Chapter should be read very carefully and also be meditated upon. Basing on the 2nd Chapter, we have this vision of “Death under the feet of the Church”. As we read the Word and meditate, God will reveal and add many more great things. Salvation began by preaching ( Heb. 2:3)… “began to be spoken by the Lord.” Why is God using the Signs, Wonders and Miracles? God is using the Signs, Wonders and divers miracles to confirm and be a witness to Salvation. Miracles are God’s wish. When we are preaching Salvation, miracles should take place. If we are only preaching and do not see miracles, then we are in the first stage.
