Welcome
to the Summer edition of The 411 magazine!
Summer is my favourite season, the days are longer and the
nights are electric! The signature scent of BBQ fills the
atmosphere with aromas of smoke and fire (Cocktails are of
course essential, see p80 for a few of our fav's) and no BBQ is
complete without some Old School flava, find your must-have
playlist on p33.
The next few months are all about colour and expression, grab
your friends and head to the beach... Are you a Mermaid or
Unicorn? Find out on p44.
Neon is massive this season and we've got you covered with a
fabulous shoot from the UK's Victoria Northbrooke
and Maxine Howells (p46). Angelica talks us through her
style lookbook (p49) and since Summer is a great time to
explore, we have a collection of beauty buys for your
adventures across globe in 'Destination Beauty' (p42).
We salute Caribbean culture with a history on Nottinghill
Carnival (p68), exclusive interview's with DJ Skippa J (p59) and
Toy Conner (p65). Plus we hop across to Zimbabwe to catch up
with Mr Boomslang (p74).
Take a load off and enjoy! Peace. Love. Music.
Amanda xoxo
