Cherri V recently released her soul single 'Without You’.
The track was produced by Grammy award winning UK
producer Harmony Samuels, who has worked with the
likes of Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Kelly Rowland and
more.
Cherri V has previously duetted with Lethal Bizzle, where
they charted in the top 20 with their hit ‘The Drop’ and
she has also performed alongside grime veteran Wiley
and R&B singer Dawn Richard.
QUOTES FROM THE SET:
“The 'Leave Me Be' video was based around solitude.
The title is not as literal as it seems. It's more based
around allowing people to be themselves and accepting
them for who they are. Asylum 33 (video production
team) wanted to capture me in my element, in an artistic
way and as this is their strong point, we wanted them to
have full reign creatively.”
"Leave Me Be" was produced by Joey Stickz and written
on a recent trip to Thailand. It lyrically touches on some
of my characteristics, sometimes being introverted and
coming to terms with the fact that I may come across
quite guarded.
It's an apology, an explanation and a cry for acceptance
of my true self all wrapped up in one song. I wanted to
tap into more of my Caribbean heritage, you'll hear a light
patois jumping in and out on this record…"
