I’ve now got another boyfriend and I’m really in love with him.  I think of that song now and it’s like I could be singing about him, so songs can take on a different meaning.  That’s another reason I don’t like to overly explain the songs on stage as I like to leave an air of mystery and let other people get their own interpretation of it.  If you overly explain a song, that explanation is what it becomes. You released your first EP ‘Love, Life & Lyricality’ in 2015.  What’s next?  Are there any plans for an album?     ‘Do You Remember’ will be on my new EP which will be released October.  I’ll promote that as much as I can and do another single release.  It’ll be quite interesting to see how well it’s received.  The EPs all have jazz/soul influences but are all quite different from one another, so it’ll be interesting to see which is the most popular.  The next move is to write, write, write.  Finish songs, record songs I’ve been sitting on for a while.  Find a producer co-writer and record, record, record!  I also want to approach artists and publishers.  I’ll still be out there singing my songs and want to release at least two or three songs under Helen Connelly so I’ve got something else to release next year, but writing is my main focus after the next EP.  - KA
