st rd SPA 6hours (21 to 23 of September 2012) This is THE huge classic racing event in Belgium at the famous Ardennes circuit. 600+ race cars, 3 days of racing (15 races) with many different classes and a meeting point for many classic car clubs. The circuit has total of 4.3 miles (7.004 m) and is like a roller coaster with many super fast bends and straights. The most famous bend: Eau Rouge and Raidillon. Great weather on Saturday and Sunday. Many fantastic races and sadly many crashes and wrecked cars too. It’s a rare situation at Spa, because the organizers are very relaxed about rules for the visitors. I don’t know any other circuit where it is allowed to go directly to the wall of the track. Or go to every possible place you want to do your photo shoots or find the best place for watching the races. All that for just 25,- Euros for the whole weekend! Here are the results of the 6h race from saturay. On the first 13 position where 7 GT40s! Pos # Cls Rider Car L Gap Last Best Now Stop T.Stop 1 8 GTP L. VOYAZIDES S. The second Cobra (Chiles/Ingram/Chiles) was only on place 93 with 29 laps finished due to a crash where the left rear side was very bad to look at. So no victory for the Cobras this year. The British Sport GT Saloon Challenge race on Sunday morning was not positive for the Cobras as well. Two RAM Cobras, one driven by Knight/Dickson and the other one by Lim/James couldn’t finish and ended place 55 and 56. But best time went to Knight/Dickson 2:47.223! So I had to wait for the last race on Sunday evening to saw a Cobra win . At the Masters Gentleman Drivers Le Blanc/Grennsall (# 27) did it after a fight with Voyazides/Hadfields Cobra (# 2) who retired in lap 23. Here are some impressions!
