From a bird’s eye view!

A friend of mine recently said that
she felt life got more interesting
when she said yes to things she
might not have otherwise agreed
to; so with this in mind and overtly conscious
that I’m particularly choosy when it
comes to ‘all things Cobra’ I agreed to
accompany my hubby on the 289 Register
road trip around Scotland. A couple of
days spent in the bone shaker, in close
confinement with my nearest and dearest,
not to mention minimal luggage, what more
could a girl ask for?
Over four hundred miles, across two days,
with three hotel stops, way too much food, not
to mention drink – the weekend was not for the
faint hearted! Although for us as Warwickshire
wanderers, it was actually 1326 miles, across
six days, with five hotel stops from door

to door! At times the pace was a little too
rushed for a southern softie like me, however,
breathtaking scenery, Scottish hospitality and
the camaraderie of fellow trippers more than
made up for any frustrations.
I’m sure the best part for many was the
viewing of Barrie Bird’s collection of cars,
including the infamous AC Le Mans Coupé,
