Background About the Company: Traidhos
Traidhos is a company that
has been providing and
facilitating educational trips
for schools around the world
since 2000. On average they
welcome around 50 schools
and 3,000 students world wide.
They are capable of hosting a
group of under 10 people or a
group of over 300 people.
The activities available to
visiting schools are under the
general category of teamwork, culture, adventure, fieldwork and community
service. For teamwork, there are activities such as wall climbing, low ropes course,
high wall challenge, and raft building. For culture, there are many language and
culture lessons, temple visits, Muay Thai boxing, traditional arts and crafts, Thai
cooking lessons, visiting local communities and industries, elephant dung paper,
herbal soap making, fruit carving, alms giving, city market visits, and a Khantoke
dinner with cultural performances. For the ones who prefer adventure, there are
choices of trekking, white water rafting, kayaking on a lake, mountain biking, zip
lining and rock climbing and caving. Community service activities give students a
chance to help the community and be global citizens and it includes a half day visit
to a local school or orphanage and construction projects. For the more educational
part of the trip, Traidhos offers courses such as river studies, slope studies, leat
litter studies, globalisation studies, compass education and settlement studies.
Lastly, there is a on-campus farm that can activities that are available to visiting
school such as rice planting, animal care, mud brick making, bicycle blender, soil
and water testing, growing cycles and food chains studies, and farm race. There are
a wide variety of activities for people of all ages, interests and ability. There is
