COX PEOPLE
Reach + Impact: Cox Diversity Initiatives
Inside our business and through external partnerships, Cox
diversity initiatives make an impact. Cox Communications
(CCI) President Pat Esser chairs CCI’s National Diversity
Council, and seven regional councils extend the reach
of the diversity strategy. Partnerships with industry
organizations that support women and minorities include the
National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications,
Women in Cable Telecommunications and the Emma L.
Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media.
At Cox Automotive, an executive sponsorship program for
women and people of color is designed to enable career
moves and professional development opportunities for
proteges. There’s a new diversity goal, tied to executive
compensation: increase representation of women and
people of color in leadership by one percent each.
Additionally, each year the Barbara Cox Woman of the
Year Award is presented to a female automotive industry
honoree who demonstrates business leadership,
community advocacy and a commitment to advancing
the automotive field.

Ethics at Cox
Cox’s legacy of integrity and ethical decision-
making is an important contributor to our success.
We continue to ensure this foundation of trust,
with our ethics and compliance program.
This program was introduced for U.S. employees in
2016 and includes a Code of Conduct and Ethics
Hotline number. If an employee has a question or
concern about ethical behavior, they have many
ways to speak up.
