COX GIVING
“It’s great to feel like I work for
a company that not only talks
the talk, but walks it as well. I
didn’t know how CERF worked
before, but as a result of my
experience, now I know, and
I’ve become a proud and
dedicated contributor myself.”
—Marcus Johnson, Cox Media Group
Adrienne Hollins
When Adrienne Hollins, a dispatcher at Cox
Communications, visited a doctor about
excruciating pain she was experiencing, she was
rushed into emergency surgery. The procedure
required her to be away from work for an
extended time, which she was not financially
prepared for. CERF helped cover basic living
expenses, so she was able to focus on
her recovery.
Wayne Modeste
Wayne Modeste’s home was so badly flooded
during Hurricane Harvey that it was reachable
only by boat. In the midst of his family’s rescue,
Wayne, a total resource auctions coordinator
for Manheim Houston, checked his bank
account and learned that CERF had already
deposited funds to begin his recovery.
Marcus Johnson
Marcus Johnson, a multimedia specialist at
Cox Media Group, was faced with the tough
decision of waiting out Hurricane Irma or
evacuating his family to a safe place. With help
from CERF, he relocated his family of four to
Atlanta until the storm passed, then returned
home to help his community rebuild.
