Giving Thanks to The Lord
In the Bible, giving thanks to the Lord is a stressed instruction on the way we should live. It is made clear through the Word that God wants us always to be thankful through every season of life. We should give thanks to God when He answers our prayers, grants us favor, and even when you feel as if God has abandoned you, be thankful in knowing that God is always with you and has a purpose for everything.
Some verses that support this are:
Ephesians 5:20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
1Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
It is clearly evident that God wants us to always be thankful. You may want to rethink the importance of when your parents told you to say, "thank you."
