Star Wars II

Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is by far the most romantic Star Wars episode of them all. In fact, I believe one could find romantic symbolism all throughout this film. For example, the heat of Count Duku’s light saber represents the heat of Anakin’s love for Padme. And just like Count Duku’s light saber destroyed Anakin, so Anakin’s love for Padme will also destroy him. A lesson for us all, I suppose.

This episode is a pivotal transition that marks the beginning of the ill fate in this unraveling story of Anakin Skywalker. Watching this when I was younger drew me in, not because of the plot line though. Rather it is the stunning visual effects and graphics that make Attack of the Clones one for the books.

Keep in mind Episode II was released in 2005, and have you seen other CGI attempts during this era? If you haven’t, don’t. I’m just thankful computer animation has come the long way it has, which is why I praise Attack of the Clones on their animation, for it was ahead of its time. All the Star Wars films are for that matter. Well done George Lucas.

An irresistible plot line, stunning visuals, and such symbolism regarding romance, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is the choice film for any sensible human being.
