How to Stay Organized & On A Schedule This Summer

By Madison Tucker

1. Get a planner. Whether it's a fancy Erin Condren one or one from the dollar store, it will help you. Making sure you aren't just staying in bed watching tv all day. Setting goals includes waking up a decent time, plan that too.

2. Clean your room! I might sound like your mom, but if you want to be productive and not be a lump this summer, you need to have a space where you can do things, being productive and creative. For me this is my desk and my chair in my room. For you it may be different. Just do what works for you.

3. Organize your things, and throw away old things that you don't use or that don't bring you joy. I recommend going in this order: clothing, then books, papers next, and finally miscellaneous items & items that are special to you.

4. Come up with a budget. Find out how much money you are earning per month, find the 10% to tithe with, and budget out what you are going to spend your money on! (maybe clothes, food, savings, and other things like that)

5. Every morning, before you go out of your room, make your bed and get dressed. This, personally, helps me get my days started by being productive right away. It's something also to get you into a routine every morning.
