On January 20, 2017 president-elect Donald Trump and vice-president-elect Mike Pence will be sworn into the office of the president of the United States. The president-elect and vice-president-elect will each make an oath saying he will,"faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," and give an inaugural address at the official ceremony where they are sworn into office. Afterwords there is a parade with the new president and there are balls for the new president that night.
