Book Reviews

I talked about this book in our last issue and I’m talking about it again. This book is literally, LIFE CHANGING. My room has never looked less cluttered. Every night I would come home and be so stressed out almost to the point of tears, partly because of my day, but also it was my environment. I couldn’t put my backpack away or even put my dirty clothes in the bin. After several weeks of studying this book, going through my closet and learning how to organize, I would say I am now about halfway done with my room. Now I am starting the sequel to her book. The second book goes into a bit more detail about finding joy in your environment and not keeping items that are dragging you down. The sequel also includes some pictures for visual people. I definitely recommend both of these books to you, whether you are a slob or a highly organized neat freak. This book goes category by category, (she specifically says to NOT go room by room, but since I’m only doing my room I just focused on that). Some people recommend doing a mix of more than one room though, but Marie recommends first clothes, then books, next papers (bills, manuals, ect.), miscellaneous items, and finally sentimental items. I am now on books/papers, I decided to do them at the same time. You can buy this book on Amazon or at Costco or at most book stores!
