PERSONAL

STEWARDSHIP

Aside from that taking care of the physical aspect of your body, there’s also the emotional and spiritual aspects. When speaking of the emotions, it’s simple. Guard them from others, and learn to control them for yourself. When speaking of the spiritual side, it’s also pretty simple. We’ve each been given an assignment and gifts to complete the assignment given.

God is all about having us steward things on the earth. He’s in control of the outcome of how history unfolds, but as far as the moments go, that’s up to us. We steward our things, our environment, our giftings, our responsibility, but probably the most important thing would be ourselves. What is life if you don’t steward yourself right, right?

Our job is to discover and recognize both the assignment and the gifts and get busy using them to bring heaven to earth.

God made each and every one of us uniquely and personally. As we develop a relationship with Him and set our eyes on Him as our Lord, stewarding our own personal lives needs to happen. All for the sake of keeping our temples clean.

The Bible says that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. If that’s the case, don’t you think that if it’s dirty we should sweep, or if it’s falling apart, we should fix it? Part of stewarding your body means to maintain it. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to sit around on the couch all day eating potato chips, although it’s not a sin to do that every once and awhile. Part of taking care of your body, though, is to eat healthy- more fruits and veggies, less carbs and sugars- and exercise, preferably at least 3 days a week for about half an hour at a time.
